# Changes to the `time` field for webhooks

Source: https://developer.nylas.com/docs/changelogs/2026-10-29-notetaker-webhook-time/

## Changed

- **Notetaker webhooks** ([`notetaker.meeting_state`](/docs/reference/notifications/notetaker/notetaker-meeting_state/), [`notetaker.media`](/docs/reference/notifications/notetaker/notetaker-media/), and the other Notetaker triggers): `time` is now the Unix timestamp, in seconds, of when the Notetaker's state changed. Previously, it was when Nylas processed the change.

Notetaker notifications can arrive late or out of order. When `time` recorded processing, a delayed notification could carry a later `time` than the state that came after it. For example, if a Notetaker was waiting to join and was then denied entry, sorting by `time` could show it still waiting. Now `time` records when each state happened, so sorting by `time` gives you the order the Notetaker went through. See [Ordering isn't guaranteed](/docs/cookbook/notetaker/notetaker-webhooks/#ordering-isnt-guaranteed).

## Fixed

- **Notetaker webhook examples.** The example payloads in the Notetaker docs showed `time` in milliseconds (for example, `1737500935555`). Notetaker webhooks send `time` in seconds; only the examples were wrong. The examples now show seconds. If you parse `time` as milliseconds based on those examples, switch to seconds.
