Org Settings

Your organization’s profile and information are available through the Org Settings pages.

An organization is how Nylas identifies a company. An organization is a collection of Nylas applications and Nylas dashboard accounts that are linked together and paid for in the same way. Billing, support, data usage, and feature enablement are handled at the organization level.

General settings

View, edit, and save your profile and organization information in this section. You can also change your Nylas Dashboard login password. The link in Other options brings you to the onboarding walkthrough.

Organization

This section contains all the users associated with your team. You can add users and edit specific organization members privileges and info as well.

Billing

Payment method information is available here. Add a new payment method and manage existing methods. For more information, see the Billing documentation.

Inviting team members

To invite team members, log in to the Nylas Dashboard, click Org settings in the left navigation, then click Add a team member. Enter a name and email address for the team member, and choose if you want to make them an administrator of your organization.

If you aren't the first person to make a Nylas account, have the other person add you to their organization using the steps above.

If you or a teammate created a Nylas account without clicking an invitation link, contact Nylas Support to add the account to the organization.

Multi-factor authentication for individual users

If you are logging in to Nylas using an email and password, you can set up multi-factor authentication (MFA) for your Nylas account even if your organization admin doesn't require it.

To set up MFA for your account, log in to the Dashboard, go to Settings, and on the Profile tab that appears, click Enable MFA. Nylas presents a QR code that you can scan with your authenticator app, and guides you through the set up process.

Require Multi-factor authentication (MFA)

The Nylas Dashboard offers multi-factor authentication (MFA) to enhance security for users logging in with an email and password. (Users logging in with Google, Microsoft, or Github are using single sign-on (SSO), and do not need MFA.) Organization admins can choose to require MFA at login for any accounts not using SSO.

To enable the MFA requirement, log in to your Nylas account, go to Org settings > Organization, locate the Settings section, and click the Require multi-factor authentication (MFA) toggle.

If an admin enables the Require MFA setting, users are prompted to set up MFA the next time they sign in. They are not logged out immediately, and they do not receive an email notification.

Users can either set up MFA when prompted during a new log in, or by going to their Profile settings, and clicking Enable MFA.

Contact Nylas Support if you or a member of your organization is locked out of their account, or to turn off the MFA requirement for your organization.
