The v3 Authentication APIs support the providers listed in the table below.

When to use a Microsoft connector or an Exchange connector
The Nylas Microsoft connector lets your users authenticate with:
- Microsoft cloud email accounts using OAuth
- Microsoft 365 (previously called Office 365)
- Exchange Online
- Microsoft personal accounts (including MSN)
- Live
- Outlook
- Hotmail
To authenticate users who use Microsoft Exchange on-prem services add a separate EWS connector.
Microsoft accounts which used Basic Auth to authenticate are no longer supported by Microsoft or Nylas.
