The Nylas Communications Platform drastically reduces the effort it takes to build and maintain integration with Microsoft Exchange, Outlook.com, and Office365. With a few lines of code, you can integrate full email, calendar, and contacts functionality into your application.
- Microsoft Exchange Server 2003+
- Microsoft Exchange Online
- Microsoft Office 365
- Microsoft Personal (Outlook) accounts, for example, Hotmail.com, msn.com, live.com, and outlook.com.
Microsoft Shared Calendars
Microsoft Shared Calendars are not supported through the Nylas Calendar API.
Accounts provisioned on national cloud environments like the United States Government, China, or Germany are not supported at this time. These environments use different Azure AD endpoint URLs for authentication.
We currently only support accounts authenticated using the Azure AD (global services) endpoint URLs:
Nylas supports only individual mailboxes for Microsoft accounts. Alias accounts, shared mailboxes, distribution groups, and Microsoft 365 group lists aren't supported.
Distribution lists for Microsoft accounts work in Nylas. Connected user accounts can send and receive emails from distribution lists. To send emails through distribution lists, users can set the
reply_to fields to the distribution list email.
Depending on your role, we’ve prepared guides on helping you get the most out of Nylas. For the best experience, review all the guides.
