The Update Draft endpoint, PUT /v3/grants/{grant_id}/drafts/{draft_id}, now honors the select query parameter, matching the documented field selection behavior. Before this fix, the endpoint ignored select.
This fix applies to JSON and multipart requests across all supported email providers: Google, Microsoft Graph and Exchange, iCloud, Yahoo, and IMAP.
When you specify select, the response’s data object includes only the requested fields. For example, ?select=id,subject returns the draft’s id and subject in data. The top-level request_id remains unchanged.
If your integration uses select, explicitly include every response field it needs, including id and grant_id if you use them. Field selection only affects the response. It doesn’t change which draft fields Nylas updates or saves.
Requests without select continue to return the full draft response. Other draft endpoints and sending behavior remain unchanged.
