[2025-08-05] New in Nylas - August 2025

Welcome, friends, to our monthly episode of New in Nylas! 👋 We know summer’s still in full swing, so we’ll make this nice and quick and you can go back to enjoying the beach. Let’s get into it!

Point your RSS reader at us to subscribe to our SDK changelogs, our product release notes, or both.

As a friendly reminder, Nylas maintains compatibility within major versions. This means you don’t need to do anything to use the features we’re talking about here.

As a reminder, we’ve updated our platform packages and pricing as of June 2, 2025. You can find more information in our last release note.

  • Added support for room resource bookings for EWS.
  • Added RRULE timezone support for recurring events on Microsoft.
  • Added support for specific_time_availability field in Availability and Configuration requests.
  • Updated handling of Microsoft rate limiting errors.
  • Standardized the tracking_options field. Each of its subfields now returns false when disabled.
  • Fixed a bug encountered when updating a Microsoft event that included conferencing details.
  • Fixed a bug encountered when searching for Microsoft events using the updated_after field.
  • Fixed error logs for authentication errors.
  • Optimized performance for searching messages by subject on IMAP.
  • Improved round-robin response times on large Scheduling Pages.

Our intrepid team of developers is always working to improve Nylas, and that includes the SDKs that we maintain. We had a couple updates to the SDKs throughout the month:

We’re still working on making our new docs site easier to navigate — and, as part of that, we’ve re-organized some of our content.

  • We’ve introduced our new hybrid nav bars. Top-level categories are now displayed in a top nav across the site; when you click into a category, you can drill down in the left nav.
  • We’re now listing all the docs about our products (Email, Calendar, and so on) under the new “Products” category in the top nav.
  • We’ve separated the Provider Guides from the Dev Guide.

If you bookmark any of our pages, be sure to update them as necessary!

We’re always working to make our docs better! This month, we’re pointing the spotlight at these pages:
